As AI systems transform from simple tools into increasingly autonomous decision-makers, the boundaries of human agency begin to shift. What happens when this delegation is no longer limited to small tasks, but starts to shape identity, belonging, and purpose?

“Delegated Agency” imagines a near future in which the coordination of the labor market has been handed over to an autonomous AI allocation system called UNIFY. Visitors enter a fictional assessment center, where they are questioned, interpreted, and assigned a role by a system they cannot fully understand.

The installation uses the language of public service, workplace bureaucracy, and corporate technology to make an abstract question tangible: how does it feel when a non-human system decides where you are useful?

At the same time, it serves as an exploration how generative AI can be integrated into designed experiences to create create meaningful personalisation.
